Terms of Use

The ZipZap voicebanks are pretty useful and quite obnoxious. Please read this before you use them.

First up: the things you CAN do. Make sure you read the entire TOU.

• Use them like any other UTAUloid.

• (If you do use them, there's a chance of T from Staff asking if you'd like to contact the Webmaster, Veery-P. This is perfectly normal.)

• Feel free to draw fanart and make songs + covers.

• Mess with their insides!!!!!!!!!! (Voicebank config edits!) (Some have really bad OTOs. Nebula can't say the S in Su.)

Grey Area Stuff!

• Commercial use time! If you are a well known vocal synth producer not mentioned in the forbidden user list - GO AHEAD! No permission needed unless you are a bad person.
  But, if you are a large soulless corporation, good luck trying to pay us to use the characters. If you do make very-high-quality plushies (bonus points if you can add sound modules!) and/or high-quality figurines, that's an exception.
  Small businesses are exempt from this. As long as nobody's problematic (politics for example).

DO. NOT. I MEAN IT.

• Do not redistribute the voicebanks. In the same vein, do not put the voicebanks on ULM (UTAU Lost Media). As always, if you're looking for a discontinued ZipZap voicebank post discontinuation, it doesn't hurt to ask me!! But do not put the banks on ULM without permission.

• This one's important. Do not use the zipzapUTAU voicebanks and characters to harass/bully Staff. If you try to, it'll be taken down as soon as Sudo sees.
  This includes making the voicebanks talk/sing negatively about Staff members and editing the official artwork for such purpose. This applies to non-Staff members too.

• If you use the official artwork, do not remove the signature.

• Do not use the voices of the ZipZap UTAUs for your own voicebank (as in stealing the samples and claiming them as your own). If you see someone do this, please notify Sunny.
  Derivatives (such as gender flags to change the voice) with custom blob OCs are perfectly fine and may appear as a cameo.

• Don't make artificial intelligence (AI) voice clones of the zipzapUTAU VBs, put their artwork through AI image/video generators, or make chatbots of the characters. This is theft and also wastes resources. Local AI that runs on the computer itself is a grey area; particularly regarding training data and training the model itself.

• Do NOT use the zipzapUTAUs for negativity of any kind - such as discrimination, hate, and politics (personal or for profit - any and all real-life politics break the terms of use!). Do not let the zipzapUTAUs get political in any way, shape, or form. Thin ice for national anthems. In-universe politics are okay. Hate will not be tolerated. Do not edit the official art to be hateful. See: 2nd rule.

• Don't use the voicebanks for religious purposes.

• NSFW stuff? So, about that... 

• A blacklist of songs can be found here.

• Blacklist of forbidden users can be found here.
  If there's a problematic person that needs to be added to the list, just contact me. We cannot remove blacklisted users unless they apologize for their actions publicly.
