Mapel hardware lets users run MOSOS, but custom MOSOS versions also exist. Mapel's laptop offerings look identical to the typical Vtech baby laptop (see: main Mapel page) with a monochromatic screen which can either be a mix between e-ink or a Game Boy-type dot matrix display depending on MOSOS type. The desktops are an entire hardwood desk with a computer, full-color monitor or large light grid, reference-grade sound system, and a keyboard + mouse combo which attaches to the desk with magnets. The desk is very spacious to let users have other things at the desk with them.
Mapel's hardware is also very easy to service and upgrade compared to some real-life computers.Â
